Presentation and discussion with Revd Dr Adrian Hough

Adrian has supplied this summary of his presentation.

“When we see evolution, science, religious faith and scripture discussed on television, then we usually get the impression that there are irreconcilable differences between Evolution and The Bible.   However, this is simply the product of television producers who like to portray conflict and argument and practitioners from both science and faith who believe that they have a monopoly on the truth at the expense of anyone else.   What we rarely see or hear is what happens when we start out by accepting the teachings of both faith and evolution and see where this leads – but that is precisely what this talk is about – that evolution and religious faith are not enemies but friends and that both are enriched by a knowledge and understanding of the other.”
